Prepaid Legal Services....does anyone know if they include
notary public or nsa services??? Did some research here, nothing about this...
I personally can not stand prepaid legal services, for various reasons, but I got a call from some guy, pretending to be interested in notary services, then while he got my attention, did the ole bait and switch and tried to recruit me to buy a plan or become an associate to sell to others.
I really do not want to call this guy back to ask, but will if I need to....but for those that may have or sell these plans, do they include finding notary publics or nsa's for their clients?

You can buy a blanket liability policy from your insurance broker to cover damages awarded and legal fees. You can tailor it to your needs to cover much more than legal fees at a much lower cost. I guess that can be considered "pre-paid legal", however, in my opinion, these people like you describe are not looking out for your best interests. The only person who can look out for your best interests is you. These policies offer so many visits per year at no charge for "consultation'. If you shop around, you can get with a private law firm and negotiate a retainer fee at a much lower cost than a prepaid legal plan.
The policy I bought also allows me to list my own attorney, which I have done. I am probably in a different position than many because I served in the army with my attorney and we remain friends, so I get a lot of free advice over BBQs and a 6-pack.

I may not understand your question in total but here's what I know about Prepaid Legal:
1. No. They do not have notaries on their staff to notarize the documents that attorneys draw up.
2. No. They do not have NSA's.
At one time I thought it would be prudent of me to market to people who sell Prepaid Legal. But after speaking to a regional director (not sure if that's his exact title) I found out that it wouldn't be worth it. Those selling this service have no interaction with the attorneys who perform the legal work.
I do get general notary work from people who tell me, "I had this will drawn up by my pre-paid legal attorney, it needs to be notarized". Sometimes the attorney is local. Sometimes not.

Oops, it did not sink in to me what you were probably asking.
The pre-paid legal plans I have been presented included a deductible. Notary and NSA fees would probably be under that deductible.
Still a waste of money, IMHO.

yeah, I was thinking perhaps it is a good idea to market myself out to the Prepaid Plan company itself. Perhaps getting on their list of vendors or whatever, for their members.
Some np's in local lawfirms might be just too busy to do general notary work, or their attorneys might be &icks and not let them make some money on the side, etc.
....was just a thought...

Why not market yourself directly to the local lawfirms? If you have a courthouse locally, then you have a lot of potential.

About the only thing I can think of when the services of
notaries would be needed by PPL reps would be when their clients have various wills drawn up.
If you can't stand the company, I would think you would bypass them. If it were me and I disliked a company, I surely wouldn't be considering or attempting to market to them. Although in this case, you would be preforming services for their customers not necessarily them.
