Proficiency Signings
60 + days overdue for a payment completed in March. Getting the run around about payment - server crash - we well get the check out next week (that was on APril 26). THeir best excuse is to copy your email with a payment inquiry to theri "accounting department". Hopefully, I will get paid on this, and it will be the last time working for these dead beats.

Located in Irvine, CA? As of Nov. 2009 they have a 1 star rating so why you would work for them AT ALL is beyond comprehension. You do what many notaries do - ignore their deadbeat rating - perhaps it's *other people* that won't get paid, not you, then complain when they behave as their star rating indicates. Unbelievable!

I did a signing for Proficiency on Christmas Eve and it took until the middle of February to get paid. Partly my fault since I forgot to send the invoice on the first of the month (New Year's Day). Well, silly me took a signing for them in February and 87 days later, I have finally received a check from them. That was after numerous e-mails and calls. Oh, yeah, I got the infamous "server crash" excuse along with "we will have your check sent out in the next 10 days". I have now started turning jobs down from them since I do not want that aggrevation again.

I'll take issue with that assumption
I have been working for them without any problems until this year. I am waiting for the computer to be fixed, for the 10 days to transpire, for the TC to answer the phone. They must be interconnected. Mine was in Feb. 2010, not a cut rate deal, and definately not my first for them.
It will be the last....correction: it was the last.
