Signing Fees Negotiations

I am relatively new to the business and am curious how the signing companies work. In general it seems the Signing Service companies pay a lower fee than going direct throught the title company. Makes sense as I am sure they get their cut. Does anyone know what the actual fee paid by the title company is and what the signing company is paid vs the actual notary doing the work?

Also, is it better to work directly with title companies? And if so, what should I charge them for quality and timely work? $125, $150?

Thanks in advance for all respondes.

You have it right...ss has to take their cut.

TC almost always better to work for.

Fees you stated are good ballpark.

Fees the ss gets varies greatly and sometimes can be seen on HUD.

When the signing service gets paid depends on their agreement with the title company. Usually they are paid when funds are disbursed, but some signing services, apparently, have their invoices paid once a month.

What the signing service is paid should not really matter to the notary as long as the notary is getting the fee they agree on.
