Too much time on your hands!

You know... This is funny! I read these posts from time to time and it makes me laugh because of all the complaining people do and I think it comes from notaries that don't have a lot of business coming in. You should spend that energy and "market yourself", "pound the pavements", and do what ever it takes to generate more business!! I don't ever accept signings from SS because I don't need the business. In this market/economy, I still average 3- 5 signings per day and its because of the reputation I have build for myself. There's enough business out there for everyone if you just work hard and think out of the box...

Glad you're very busy, Mike. There are many variables--I'm in a densely populated area with lots of notaries. I get my fair share of business, but it is still down quite a bit this year. It's not because I'm slacking, I assure you.

You're so right! I'm sure there are Banks, Credit Unions, Hospitals, Atty's, Mortgage Bankers/ Brokers, Insurance companies, Car dealerships, you'd be surprised how much business you can get from different places. If you speak a 2nd language even helps.
