What a wonderful day..msg #336073 continued-
So I show up for my sweet video taping job. 30 Mins into the deposition defense Attorney get pulled by his secretary, then comes back in with a fax Doc from the court (a stay because an appeal was filed) and said, this deposition is over. plaintiff's attorney is piXXed and said, " I hired this guy for 3 hours" and the defense attorney says, "your problem". Long story short, he paid me the FULL fee and said he will add my fee to his cost and get reimbursed from the defendant's attorney. $750 for 30 mins work..Yes I cashed the check...YAHOO!

True but how many of THOSE deals do you think will ever

That's fantastic, James! We don't need to wonder why
attorney & court fees are so high. LOL

Re: That's fantastic, James! We don't need to wonder why
I agree Marilyn. No frickin wonder attorney costs are so high. Makes me absolutely furious and don't even get me started. Been dealing with 3 attorneys for the past 3 years and it is absoultely ridiculous how much it costs to defend yourself, especially since there has been no wrong doing.
But, James - I would have done the same thing as you. Happy for you.

That's awesome! Here in the Sacramento area the court reporting services handles the videotaping, etc., so there isn't much of a chance for notaries to get into that unless you get in with a reporting service.

So…in your next life are you going to be an attorney? That’s where the really big bucks are (and maybe you could even become a politician, where the really, really BIG $ are) I’m glad for you! Every once in awhile it’s nice to get just a little taste of what the big dogs get.

Sweet deal, James!! Cancel the luncheon appointment.....let's do dinner !!! I got good news today meeself.....I have a re-sign for a loan I completed for the mortgage broker I network with. The signing was a purchase, $150 fee, he printed all the docs....I just picked them up, got them signed (notarized), and dropped them off at his office. He calls me today to say the seller didn't want to close as scheduled (for whatever reason) and the docs expired so now it's a re-sign. Again, he prints docs, I just pick them up, get them signed (notarized) and drop them off. Another full fee.....weeeeheeeee!!
