Any recommendations for a mobile laser printer??

My portable, car based, laser printer is just about the give up the ghost and I am looking for a new one. I don't like all in ones and I don't like Lexmark or Dell, their software is too intrusive. I like HP, Brother, Panasonic and probably others. Bells and whistle are not particularly necessary and speed is not as important. Anyone have any suggestions for a good laser monochrome printer they like?

I would like to know this too. Just for use in the car. Preferably one that works with a regular inverter and not the more expensive inverter that costs around $500!

Charles- what kind of inverter do you use with your current laser printer?

Scott, I use a 2000W Xantrex full sinewave. There are serious consquences to not using a full sine wave: your equipment can be damaged. There are a lot of cheaper inverters that use different waveforms but the problem is that typically electronic equipment is rated at a specific voltage and that voltage whether whether they tell you or not in the specs is rated at RMS (Root Mean Square). If you run the math on the different waveforms you will find tha other than a sine wave will not give you all the power you need and can result in damage. Oh and I use a splitter and a secondaary battery bank to run the equipment so that my starting battery doesn't get run down.

Guys only a pure sine inverter can be used on a laser printer, you'll burn up the printer. I have a two draw laser Brother in my car it's fast and compact. 5370d
