Feeling harassed by Nation's Direct
They call several times a day and I tell them everything I dislike about them, and to remove me from their calling list. They keep calling. Any suggestions? Their 800 number I don't recognize because they are different every time. I feel harassed.

Hey Alice Just quote a price of $150.00 per closing and in the same breath it's non negotiable. That's what I did, don't hear from them anymore.

I'm so sorry to hear that you feel this way about them. They have been great to me. I haven't had one problem with them, whatsoever. They have been very easy and pleasant to work with. I do hope that you can work it out. I have personally found that there are very few companies who stay busy on a consistent basis. And, the one's that do must be doing something right, or they wouldn't continue to receive orders. Nation's Direct has kept me very busy with signing orders, for which I'm very grateful. I hope that you understand that I am in no way disparaging your remarks. I'm just offering up my own experience to show that there is always two sides to every situation. Good luck & God bless...

They offer $45.00 per closing for overnighted docs & $60.00 for edocs, Hmmm...I have better things to do than lose money by staying busy with there closings. To bad you don't value your services more.

They may keep you busy if you are going to take their low ball fee! It's fine if a company is going to keep giving you signings and you want to discount your rate, but come on $45 and $60? Because notaries who do accept the low ball fees, companies like Nation's Direct think it's okay because they will keep calling until they find that notaries who doesn't value his or herself's work and expenses that go along with each signing.
I received a call from Nation's Direct this morning for e-docs. The gentleman said it was about 45 pages and the lender required all 45 pages faxed back. No thank you. It's not even worth me warming up my car! He then got argumentative and said it was an 800 number to fax back. Not the point!

Ditto. Now my line is free to get real calls from clients who can calculate time zones--no more antsy Nor'easters calling me at 3 or 4 am PST. :-)

Each time they call, save the number to your contacts list - label it "Nuisance 1 and give it a silent ring so you won't hear ''their calls" ring. Do this with every nunber they call from. They are bound to contact you from one of the Nuissane numbers. The next number they call on is Nuisance 2...then Nuisance 3, etc.
I believe I have six Nuisance numbers. One lowball company had kept calling me and of course their calls go to voicemail since their numbers are on "silent ring".

Re: They're over managed
I refuse to work for them, I had the same problem. They pay extremely low and overkill on management of notaries. One of the most obvious problem agencies I've ever worked for.

very obnoxious company
I work for them when they meet my fee which isn't very often. I don't necessairly agree with those who say don't work for them and they will quit offering low rates. That isn't going to happen, they always will find someone willing to work for nothing. They do pay on time which is more than some of the less obnoxious, higher paying companies do.
