I am speechless

That's great! I have considered doing that myself and then having a collection of testimonials concerning my work ethics and level of customer satisfaction. And if there were negative comments, I would be able to take corrective actions to improve my professionalism.

Did this come from the Closing Co or Signing Service? Can you say who it was from?

Why speechless? This has been an ongoing concern of theirs and has been addressed on other forms included for the borrower in the past. Many times you will see about 5-10 questions and the NSA has been included, usually last.

LSI includes this with their confirmations. I never give it to the borrower - in fact I don't even print it. If the hiring party wants the borrower to complete a survey about me, they can mail or email it to the borrower directly. I just don't feel comfortable giving that to them myself.

I am aware of the surveys but, this is the first time that I see them entering them into a drawing.

I'm pretty sure there was always a gift card prize drawing connected to the LSI surveys.

My thoughts, FWIW:
They are not getting enough back, this will give them greater numbers. Perhaps they are evaluating if the NSA is the way to go or if there might be a better alternative.

I don't have a problem with this. This job is more than just pointing and saying sign and date here. It's making the borrower's feel comfortable. LSI and others are simply rating their vendor's effectiveness.
All good companies continually evaluate their suppliers, and for good reason.
If you feel uncomforatble about being evaluated, then maybe you have a problem.

Uncalled for?
And why?
I still think it's a great business practice on LSI's part.

Re: ... and uncalled for

LSI is welcome to solicit the borrower for an evaluation of my services. I just prefer that they solicit the borrower directly instead of having me pass it along. I feel it's rude and uncalled for when you insinuate that I must have a problem with my work if I am uncomfortable with giving the borrower the form.

Well CopperheadVA, like the politician's say, "I apologize if my remarks offended you, but I am sticking by my statement." If you are doing a good job, you have nothing to fear by being evaluated.

Ouch Bagger! I have seen these in the LSI packages too. I always give them to the Borrowers and wish them luck in winning : )

I don't have a problem with it either. I figure it's the alternative to a HappyCustomer.com site. How else can a borrower pass on to our clients those nice compliments that we get. And if they get a lot of nice compliments about us, we can justify our higher fee for quality work. (I believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy too!) If they can win $50 for a signing satisfaction evaluation, good for them! Obviously, I'm going to put forth the effort to get a good evaluation from the borrower. It's like the performance reports we get at our primary employment.

Servicelink has a 4 page survey the borrowers fill in at the signing or they can opt out or go online to fill out.
I think it's a good thing, TCs should know who they are hiring and how the borrower views their signing experience.

I have no probems with surveys.

This was in a modification confirmation. Where they said it would be 5 pages and no notarization. I guess they put them in all the packages. I just don't know why they include it in my confirmation then ask me to hand it to them.

I feel it should be in the package.

I put it at the end of the pkg. As a LAST PAGE with

a 'good luck in the drawing!" grin - well, it's just a nice way to end a long signing process.

Ok, sometimes I forget. But, I try.

I must be missing something...

From what I have read, bo's are given a satisfaction survey or such. I have seen these stuck in loan docs and what I normally do is stick them in the back, the very last page. Once I get to the 'survey' I hand it to the bo or bo's and say, here this is for you. You can fill it out now while I review your documents and make sure we didn't miss anything; you can ignore it, if you want to go get that screaming baby/drink/barking dog; or you can fill it out tomorrow and fax it to you lo; you can throw it away because it has no bearing whatsoever of your loan being processed.

I think it is totally embarrassing to hand someone a piece of paper with questions on how I performed MY job and expect them to fill it out in front of me and return it to me. Just my opinion. Usually the forms I see are about 10 questions, 9 are about the lo, the lender and the process, 1 is about me. I still give the same spiel.

Re: This is the one the OP has in LSI pkg - Not advertising -

Thanks for posting this. I was picturing something very different and thinking that it was pretty tacky - if not embarrassing - as anotaryinva said. But it clearly says "within 72 hours". I don't think I would ask them to complete it in front of me or have it returned with the documents unless they suggested it. THAT would be tacky! And, imo, would be less likely to elicit an honest evaluation.

I think it's a good thing that the client cares enough to want to know how well the notary handled the situation. The only thing that would be better would be to then provide feedback to the notary to advise if there are issues (s)he needs to work on improving.

That's a new twist. I've never seen that. I'm guessing

it's an incentive to get them to participate. Everyone else is doing that.
As far as performance surveys are concerned, I don't have a problem with that.
There's one tc that includes it in the pkg. I think they work to my benefit, so why would I have an issue. Citibank also includes a survey to evaluate their employees performance. They are obviously concerned with great customer service & satisfaction. IMO I wish there were more companies that cared about the borrowers.
