Grant Deed
Is it safe to notarize father's Grant Deed, Power of attorney or Caifornia Statuory will ? The beneficiary is my sister.

By law, in CA you can notarize your father's signature....
Is it safe? Under these circumstances, with your sister as beneficiary, I wouldn't do it. Grant Deed, POA *AND* Will? Send your father to a good attorney to make sure this is done properly, and then a neutral third party is involved in the notarizations. It's worth the money.

Re: Calif handbook page twelve - when in doubt
"Consult an attorney" is an out even the SOS is using when questioned on notary law. The translation for that is "You had better CYA"
So, I wouldn't do it either.

I wouldn't....in fact, I make it my personal rule not to notarize for anyone related to me by DNA or marriage. Pay the money and find another Notary you don't know to handle this.
