Majic Jack
Does anyone know if you can fax from the Majic Jack and if so how in the heck do you do it. I have tried everything that I can think of.

1 or 2 pages maybe and that's it
Look at something like maxemail to fax greater amounts.

I've never had any luck faxing out more than three pages with MJ - seems to work better on incoming faxes. I usually scan and email instead of faxbacks. As a last resort you can use a site like faxzero.com where you upload a pdf and it's faxed for you. three pages free and a small fee for additional pages...

You need to get a fax that has a "voip" selection on the machine, that is the only way it will work with Magic Jack. The new Brother machines have that selection on them.

I tried MagicJack and it failed in this regard. They have a sort of work around in which they tell you setting for your fax machine or AIO, but they failed for me and many others. I contacted them and asked them if they have any intention of allowing Faxes, they had no clue. Someone in a previous post in this thread mentioned VoIP, I'm pretty sure that's the only way to go.

I pay 9.99 a month to RingCentral for a fax line. I e-mail an attached document to the number at rcfax.com, and it goes through. I get 500 pages a month for the 9.99. I've been very happy with their service so far, and I've been using it for almost a year.
