Mortgage Connect LP
I, too, have received their "book" of an application/contract. I haven't filled it out yet and then they called me for a signing today. They asked me how much I charge and I told them $100. and I wanted an additional $10. for fax backs. Unless a company gives me at least 5 signings a week regularly, I won't accept $75. When you do that many signings for 1 company you practically get the loan packages memorized and you get faster and faster. But those companies that only give you a signing here and there, I won't accept less than $100. I have enough companies paying me what I want that I don't need to accept $75 from the people who only give you a signing hear and there. This is just my opinion though. As far as all this info they want, I will fill out what I think is necessary, leave the rest blank and if a company doesn't like it then I don't need to be working for them.

I have been getting quite a few "agreement packages" they want you to sign for $75 and LESS per signing. I repectfully decline and let them know the reason. That is ridiculous, especially when the edocs are 150+ pages.

I did one for Mortgage Connect last month for $100. It was 2 miles away and the only fax backs were important documents. Approximately 18 pages. The best part, I was paid in 4 days. I'll take business from them anytime with that kind of payment terms.

It's tough, because here in Jersey, at least for me, these are mainly the types of closings I get calls for. I've been working in this business on and off for two years, and have completed about 170 signings...nothing great, but a good number to let people know I'm capable. These seem to be the only signings I get though, which kinda sucks. It is what it is though, I guess.

$75 is their starting point...I've negotiated higher with them. If they need you, they'll meet your fee.

They will pay $$$ if you ask. I had no problem getting my fee.....although, I only worked for them once, so maybe they were in a pinch. I did get my check in one week though.

Be careful of their contract. One of the terms is that you agree for them to share your SSN with whomever they choose; and they are not flexible on this term. I did NOT sign their contract.
