Nations Direct is a cheapo....

These people call me constantly bombarding me with low ball fees. I have told them repeatedly that I will not do a closing for $40. They called me yesterday and agreed to my fees to do a closing in Centerville TN. This morning I receive a call asking me to do a signing in Centerville for another SS at the same time as the one I am scheduled for. Naturally I must turn it down because I am committed to Nations Direct. Shortly thereafter Nations Direct calls and tells me my appointment has been canceled. Said evidently the lender/title co found someone else to do the closing, and canceled! Nations Direct just screwed me out of a closing today because they are greedy and do not want to pay their notaries a fair fee. I would not recommend doing business with them in the future. They also babysit you to death when you are doing a signing for them. Numerous calls from different staff asking the same questions. Who needs it..

Gotta be the one out of CA - the one in FL

is a title company and I *know* they don't offer those types of fees.

Sounds like Sign on the X signing company. I did work for them years ago, always paid the least they could, anytime there was a problem with a payment, couldn't find anyone to talk to...they overpayed me so I sent the check back informing them of the overpayment and the amount they owed me...never got my money...the 1099 was wrong...complained, told them what it should be...they sent a new one with 0 on it!
WHAT A LAME COMPANY!!!

I don't know where you've been. That co. has the rep of

being to worst low-ballers in the industry (assuming you're referring to the one in CA).
If you use Signing Central you can save yourself a lot of aggravation. That's what it's there for.

I can't stand Nations Direct!!! They do the samething to me. Calling and calling with all their demands then for only 40.00!!! You can keep them!

This is so my pet peeve where a SS screws us out of a signing fee. They tie up your time and then cancel a signing and in the meantime you have turned down another one to keep your committment to the first SS.

So you are out a fee for the first signing.

Anyone else feel my pain?
