Like most other scams, there will be a carrot and a stick. The carrot is higher placement (typically the first Page of results). The stick will be that your Google listing will be removed.

Google does NOT do this! Do not fall for it!

There are numerous scams out there and a lot of really good con artists trying to make money off of helping people learn about how to place in the Google search engine. One guy wanted $500 a month and thought that was a low ball offer.
