Oil change mystery shop
With all the driving we do there is a mystery shop company ( totally legit - I have been shopping for them for years). You apply to the mystery shop company ( there is no charge) get an oil change at a particular large national chain- complete a survey about the experience and get reimbursed thru paypal 45 to 50 days later. I will list the company names if you give me the OK. I am not an employee of the mystery shop company or oil change company-I only do the occasional mystery shop for them- and my car gets extra good oil change care- because I wold not be this regular on the changes if i was not getting them for free-or you can PM me-

You don't get your oil changed? It was nice to let people know they might be able to save some money! Just lilke when people mention paper sales and such! Your rudeness was uncalled for!

I agree thought this was a money-saving tip. We all have to pay for extra maintenance on our vehicles with all the extra driving.

I didn't think it was rude. I just thought it was a statement of an opposing opinion - one I don't happen to agree with. I think it should be OK to state something straightforwardly [not sure if that's even a word... ] and not have it be considered an insult, if it's just a difference of opinion about something.
We've certainly seen all too many examples of truly rude, insulting statements! However, it's very hard to get a tone of voice into what is sometimes a quickly dashed out post and comments can be easily misinterpreted.
Making this forum a happier place will take a two-pronged effort, imo: fewer comments directed to the individual poster vs. addressing the poster's stated opinions and thicker skins on everyone's part so that we're not so easily offended when someone has a differing opinion. After all, we're all entitled to be wrong once in a while, right? [jk]
My 2 cents, FWIW...
Oh, and I think this could be relevant to many of us, since we do use our cars a lot in this business - and who isn't interested in keeping expenses down? And I just got my oil changed last week. Darn!

Disagree with your snarky comment. We're all trying to stay
alive here, and any tips for supplimental streams of income belong here to help all of us.
If you don't agree, too bad. You're not the room monitor.

I've been doing this shop for years. I use the paypal $ for fun little things. Last week my hubby and I took a cooking class with my oil change money.
