Proficiency Signing, Irvine, CA

Do we have any recourse to seek unpaid renumeration on signings services? Proficiency Signing out of Irvine failed to pay me for a signing in September. I've tried for weeks to get some one with no avail. Seems they are no longer in business.
Thank you.

Recourse may cost you more than you are owed, however there are some collection agencies that you could contact that if nothing else, would make the owner uncomfortable. However...Signing Central is a valuable tool that you should be using to check out companies prior to taking the assignment. If you can't check them out immediately, check them out before printing your documents or going to the signing and with feedback like Proficiency Signings has, you simply call back and let them know you aren't doing the signing and why. Don't worry about being nice...you aren't the bad guy! You don't want to work for those companies, no matter how slow things seem... as far as what you are owed now, its probably just a hard lesson. Good luck :-)

I received a letter by email from them which I am adding into this posting....good LUCK! I sent my info certified mail and it was signed for by the person who is on the letter.

Dear Notary,
This is to advise you that Proficiency Signing Corporation has been dissolved.
The undersigned has been appointed as the trustee for the distribution of the assets of the company. The company is insolvent and lacks any assets to pay the creditors at this
time. There are, however, some money owed to the dissolved company that will be paid to the creditors in prorates as it become available or on the first claim-in- first claim paid bases.
You have 120 days from the date of this letter to claim a debt by mailing your claim with written proof to the address below:
Proficiency Signings
P.O.Box 6505
Irvine, CA 92616-6505
In your claim you need to state your full name and address, the amount claimed and source of that claim with the date it was incurred. If I do not receive any claim as stated above with the stated date you claim will be barred.

Did you get a notice of bankruptcy filing? Who is this Natalie Aldrin and who appointed her? Thought only courts could appoint "Trustees". What authority does she have to determine priority of claims of monies owed and who gets paid what and when?

A notice by e-mail? Hello? My suspicious side is kicking in here. But that's me - I don't trust anyone any more..

I looked them up this morning as I am trying to collect on some old invoices. Irvine business license division lists this as an individual with a dba. His name is Mohamad Baddour. There was a nice collection letter I found after browsing through the small claims site for LA county. I am sending that out today via email and registered mail. I guess we will all need a dose of luck collecting on this scoundrel.

Don't be surprised if they come back under a different name. That's what they do.

Who is the "they" in this case? I'm sure we'll all want to be aware, in case they do pop up under a different name.

We are talking about Proficiency Signing. When 'they' do pop up under a different name, you won't know who 'they' are. Otherwise, 'they' wouldn't do it because it wouldn't accomplish their purpose, which is to cheat notaries. It's all a racket. So if you are taken advantage of, be sure to post it on Signing Central.

The names I have that are associated with this company are as follows: Kasey E Rojas, Krystina, Tabitha, Derek Holland. Not that this is any big help but rest assured if anyone with those names call me from the Irvine or Orange area they are not going to be hiring me.
