Proficiency Signings Did they go out of business?
Proficiency Signings Did they go out of business? I followed instructions to fax my invoice at end of month (9/30). Instructions said I would be paid by end of the next month (OCT). Well I emailed twice for an update to make sure I was on track to be paid. No response, so I emailed a second then third time. Also no response and the last one was sent directly to accounting. So this AM I called. Much to my surprise the number is not in service. Called title to see if they have any any information. Called information and nothing listed under Proficiency Signings in the area code number I have 949-625-2500. Anybody else having a problem?

No experience with them, but the number being disconnected is never a good sign.

They owe me from April. I turned down a refi last month and told her (Katryna, I think) that no more work from me because they stiffed me. I have sent an invoice every month and guess what? Nothing. So they might as well be out of business as far as I am concerned.

Proficiency Signings - stopped signing for Ali three-years
ago because I don't work for free, and Ali can't keep up his part of the bargain. Yes, the phone numbers change, and they don't answer phone calls or e-mails if you are requesting payment.

I didn't see anything REALLY negative and I always give one chance....they blew it.

You didn't see anything REALLY negative?
They have a multitude of 1-star ratings going back to early this year.....the signs were all there..
Unless you mean a different company - this is the one out of Irvine, CA that I saw.

Proficiency Signings - Turned down a signing for Saturday
Scheduler stated that they had a personnel change and promised prompt payment if I would reconsider. My answer was that the 'personnel' probably wanted to be paid on time.
After many months of begging for payment, I posted a negative, but accurate, comment in Signing Central. Ali called to say that he was 'disappointed' with me for damaging his business reputation on Notary Rotary, but he wasn't sorry enough to pay the past due amount.
As far as I can tell, their troubles are self inflicted. I hope we can turn up the heat and make it impossible for them to find signing agents.
