Reverse Mortgage with POA
Got a call yesterday to go back to borrower on my dollar. The FHA addendum to the application was the issue. This document requires signatures and dates at the top and bottom. On the bottom right in the co-borrower signature, he ran out of space and signed -her attorney in fact- below the black bar that runs across the bottom of the page. This wording was right next to the words Page 2. They said they could not accept those 4 words being below the bar. This seems extreme to me.

That is a crock...especially on such a useless document. They can send it to him to sign a new one...it is not notarized.

If this was a document to be filed and due size/space restrictions of the margins of the doc so it could be "copied" a return trip might be valid. But at most this will be sent to a government agency, but most likely be put in a file folder and forgotten. Sorry for the problems you are having. It seems some of these new hires with title/escrow companies think they are somewhat more important and we, the NSA"s don't really don't know what we are doing.

Wow, that's amazing. I wouldn't have thought twice about letting him sign there. There is barely any room on that doc to sign a regular signature, let alone a POA!

That's ridiculous. There wouldn't have been enough room on
that form to sign the verbage. Someone must be worried about that loan. LOL
