SOX Signing Solutions

Has anyone done signings for this company lately? They are out of Aliso Viejo, CA. How do they pay the notaries and how much? I did a signing for them, their stipulations are a page long. As i was reading the confirmation it states, if an error occurs on the documents and SOX must waive a fee for their client, the notary fee will also be waived; if SOX must pay a rate lock fee, the notary will share 50% of that fee reduction. I have never heard of this so just want to check out his company.

Please let me know if you have done signings and how they were?

Thanks Wink

All Notary's on this board know better. None would ever do a signing for SOX. Go to Signing Central and read comments. The absolute worse signing company out there. Your one page instructions should have been a big red flag.

Use the orange search button and put in SOX, you can read about them for days. Read all forums about them. Thank goodness for Notary Rotary, I never took a signing from them. They have stiffed so many notaries out there.

In the beginning they may pay you and then stop at some point and make you jump through hoops to get paid. Just the confirmation page would do it for me, even if they haven't had a bad name for years.

Obviously, you must be very, very new in this business. One does not just go wandering about signing for anyone or anything unless you like working for free. If you would just please read the Signing Central board for your own preservation, it would be an excellent idea. You then make a list of the "bad guys" (which is increasing daily due to scheming scuzz bags running so-called signing services, who think they are going to make a killing by cheating notaries). They prey on "new" notaries who don't do any research.

On a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best, SOX has a -100 (that's minus 100). They are the worst deadbeats (and thiefs) in the business and for years have stiffed Notaries. From now on and before you accept a loan signing from any company, use the orange search button AND Signing Central to review a company's track record. If you've already accepted the signing, give it back and tell them why: They have a poor payment history on the notary forums.

SOX preys on newbies because they figured newbies fresh out of notary class do not read the notary forums. Why don't you (now) use the orange search button, research and start reading past posts about SOX. Unfortunately, you did that recent loan signing for free. SOX won't pay you.

SOX Signing Solutions - Read the "F" rating with the BBB

http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Sox-Signing-Solutions-13134410

Complainants allege they agree to provide Notary Public services for this company; however the company fails to pay them as agreed upon. Some Notaries complain that they repeatedly sent invoices for payment in accordance with instructions provided, but received no payment in return. Other Notaries report excessive delays in receiving payment, or receiving only partial payments for services rendered without explanations for deductions. Most complainants allege difficulty contacting company personnel to resolve payment issues. The company responds to most complaints by stating that complainants failed to follow the required procedures in the submission of their invoices for payment or that the complaint is invalid. In most cases, the company asked that invoices be re-submitted or, stated that they would pay for services rendered. In some cases, the company responds by stating the original invoices were never received, explaining that some of the invoices were not past due and would be paid according to the company's schedule, or by indicating the customer is billing them for more than the agreed upon amount. Some notaries state that despite the company's offer of payment, it was not received. Company has also responded to notaries by stating if they filed or do not retract a previously filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau; they would not be paid for services rendered.

Re: SOX Signing Solutions - Read the "F" rating with the BBB

Thank you all for letting me know about this company. I am new to Notray Rotary and barely getting use to the forums. I am actually going to call the escrow company to make sure I get paid on this signing. From now on, I am going to keep this site open throughout the week. If a new signing company calls me, i am going to search them first. I do business with real good signing companies like LSI and NSC and others. Since I deal mostly with direct banks, lenders, processors and brokers, I haven't gotten a call from a new company in a long time.

I sincerely thank you all for your help.

Has anyone ever actually been paid anything by SOX?

Even if it was a small amount, please post if you have received any type of payment from this company. Just curious. I am owed hundreds. So are others.

Re: Has anyone ever actually been paid anything by SOX?

Believe it or not, 18 years ago SOX was a decent company and I did many and got paid all the time. A while back...couple years ago, I think... I did a signing because I was 'requested by the B' and it wound up at SOX. I was on their case from the get-go and was paid my full fee within about 60-75 days (don't remember). But, I was on their case!!! Would I do it again? Nah.

Re: Has anyone ever actually been paid anything by SOX?

When I was first starting out about 5 years ago, I did 2 signings for SOX. I was eventually paid for both, but only because I annoyed them daily for about 2 weeks. They finally asked me to stop, and the check arrived a couple of days later (just before I was about to restart my annoyance campaign).

RUN!!!

I was paid by them back in 2002. They have called me numerous times to do a closing and I have informed them that I cannot accept a closing until the amount owed to me is PAID and sent via FEDEX/UPS prior to the closing. I was told that "Suzanne" would call me in a day or two. That was 2 weeks ago. NEVER EVER accept a closing from them.

I got $600.00 they owed me. Called from my cell; landline &

fax machine simultaneously and hit re-dial on all 3 for an hr each day for a wk. If I had free time, I'd call them SEVERAL times a day from all 3 phones. My message: If you'd like to free up your lines so you can take incoming calls from TCs and out-going calls to new victims/notaries - PAY ME!!!! Otherwise, I talk to you the next day & the next & the next....

After 4 or 5 days, a check arrived for the balance...and it cleared! This debt was 2 uyrs old. Theuy keep calling, but after politely telling them to remove from their database w/ no luck, I just hang up on them (they have new alt #s)
