I got may billing problem worked out with UPS for the invoices incorrectly billed to my account. UPS advised me to use a UPS on line shipping document. They said if I do I will never have another problem????

I don't trust what they say. See my Msg #361386. On-line billing is fine most of the time, but issues can still occur, as they did with me.

Same issues with me too! I wouldnt believe them either. Copperhead is correct. I would certainly not believe that the billing has been corrected. Wait until you get a new bill! I only order the envelopes. If you order waybills they will have your account info on the bar code on the bottom of it..thats how they can track you!

Make sure the billing is correct. You may have to wait until you get your next bill. FWIW (YMMV) I have never had a billing problem using the on-line air billing and shipping system. When you enter the air bill information, and check the "bill receipt" option is selected, the system will immediately verify the shipping and billing information. Once you print the label, the account selected for billing is billed. You can always check you own billing information on-line as well.

(The same goes for using FedEx.)

I too have had the UPS problem. Although I would write the receiver's account number in both places and check "Bill Receiver," they still billed me. The explanation was that they just scan the bar code! However, after they had to credit my account several times, and I explained that I only have the account because the drops here never have legal envelopes, nor do they have more than a few (if any) shipping documents, UPS sends me shipping documents without my account number as well as other supplies when I need them.

I should have added that I always use the receiver's name and address as both sender and receiver.

How did you get them to do that? Did you call a 800 number?

When they billed me I just called the number on the statement, but I've also called the 800 number and ordered supplies.

I tried that just a couple of week ago

UPS canceled my account because I'd never sent anything using the account number. They refused to send me envelopes until I reinstated my account with them. I'll probably have to do this again in about 6 months because it will be automatically canceled again. What a PITA!

Oops, should read "bill recipient" n/m
