Virus warning - and BB question

A friend just sent me a warning about a relatively new virus out there with a subject line of "Here You Have" or "Just for You" or "Here It Is". It's been out since September, so I'm guessing that anti-virus programs probably already have a fix for it. (Here's the Snopes link for more Info:

This got me thinking about my new Blackberry. On my pc, I naturally have an anti-virus program in addition to what my ISP offers, but should I have some kind of similar protection for the BB? Or do I just need to be very careful about what I open up from there? Seems like there should be something to go that goes beyond that.

I was wondering the very same thing Janet. If I open something on my BB and it has a virus, does it affect my computer? I never open any attachments on my BB unless it is work related. Very interested to find out more about this too.

I was more concerned about it affecting my BB. I may be wrong, but I assumed that my anti-virus program would protect my pc when I do a sync (which I haven't quite gotten to yet... )

I think your suggestion of only opening work-related attachments is probably a good one.
