WOW...nations direct is now hiring LSI closers
got a call for nations to do a closing tomorrow for 60 bucks and half of the 130 page packet to be faxed back...are you kidding me? Laughed and hung completley up and someone called right back with the same offer. Has LSI, a wonderful company gone to the dogs?

LSI has been calling me directly
If they've taken up with Nations Direct looks like I'll not be closing their loans - 140 pages for $60? And faxback on a company that already knows my work? I don't think so...
God I hope this doesn't happen.

Re: LSI has been calling me directly
I agree - LSI already gets my rock-bottom price, and as such I only take their jobs that are in my zip code. I will not travel outside my zip code for the fee they pay in my area. NO WAY will I take a lower fee for their packages.

Re: LSI has been calling me directly
I'm almost certain LSI called me last week after I had negotiated closing fees with Nations Direct, and asked me to do a signing in the same city at the same time. Of course I had to turn them down. Next came a call back from Nations Direct telling me my appointment had been canceled! When I inquired why, I was told "I think they got another company to cover it". Nations Direct calls me on a daily basis, but now I just tell them I am booked up. It doesn't matter if you tell them not to call you anymore because evidently they have a large number of employees, and they will continue to call. These people have even tried to barter with me to take low ball fees in exchange for "volume". I don't even waste my time with them anymore, and I would advise any notary out there to do the same.

I don't have a problem with LSI, they just called me for a closing. Maybe it's just a one time thing?

I got a call today from LSI for tonight
(which unfortunately I couldn't do) - I asked the guy about it - he said yes, they use Nations Direct every once in a while - he didn't offer how they determine which ones they farm out to them - he sounded less than enthused about it...

Got the same call on Sat. WOW what a deal! Promised many, many closing & the chance to make BIG money! As I told her, the only thing you can promise at that rate is a guarantee that I would lose BIG money.....she was in a hurry to hang up..............

Re: WOW...nations direct is now hiring LSI closers-YES! They
LSI hired Nations direct to schedule their closings!!! I found this out over a month ago! Nations would call and ask me to do an LSI for them for 60 dollars edocs with fax backs!!! I called LSI and asked if they are using Nations and they said "yes," but only when we don't answer our phones. This is not true! I answer my phone 24/7!!! I told them Nations is trying to get me to do them for 60.!! I said I will never. The girl said thats what they wanted to know, if Nations was paying us a fair fee. She said they pay them well. Yes...this is really going to mess up my business too!!! Hate Nations Direct!!!!

See - this is what we've been telling people about accepting
these low-ball fees!!!
You're keeping them in business and helping to move us all over the brink financially! Imagine - a signing that you used to get for $125-$150... now you're doing for $40-60 for???
Is it just me or is this insanity???

I don't think that was neccesarily directed at you.
This is a topic that has been discussed on here many times and a point that has been made over and over again - but apparently enough people out there are still willing to work for scraps that companies like Notary Direct can still get away with paying so little. They much be cleaning up if they're getting healthy fees and paying out a pittance like $60 with edocs! [Did I read that right??]
