Alabama Notaries may actually want to attend conference this

year. Last year was the first conference for notaries in AL and it was backed by the SOS office.

I attended and had hoped it would be worthwhile...I was very disappointed in finding that the NNA was involved giving the XYZ agenda and that the SOS office and XYZ were unable to answer any notary questions with the correct response or most of the time with any response other than we are not sure. What a waste of time, money, travel and lost wages (200 miles from home).

I just received agenda for this years conference occurring tomorrow and the ASN will be the key speakers this year, thank God they at least know what they are talking about.

I have 4 closings lined up so far, so I will not attend. Had I known of the ASN presence I would have been more apt to attend.

If anyone on this board does attend, I sure would appreciate a PM afterward to let me know how it went.

Likewise...... Maybe a video will be available afterward, as it was last year. Hopefully, there will be some indication of an effort (by NPs, SOS, and legislators) to create new/useful statutes, training, etc.
