Amtrust e-signs

I closed an Amtrust e-sign last evening way out in the country (13 miles from town) and thought I would get an ulcer before it was over with as I had another closing to go to. I always allow enough time to close unhurriedly and have time to drive. I logged in using my aircard, since these people had to pipe in sunshine and did not have a computer After being in the site and ready to start the first document, my signal went kapoey. So we went all around the house trying to find a signal. Finally went outside, found 2 bars of signal, we were estatic, brought out a card table and extension cord and went to work, mosquitos and all. BUT, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes just to complete the e-sign portion because of the weak signal. Our eyes were all glued to the bar that fills up between documents. This is when you don't understand why the notary cannot bring the paper version of those documents. The onus is on the notary to make it happen. Fortunately the majority of Amtrust e-signs are easy, but when you have a glitch, its unnerving.

Signals are the key. When it works, it works

well; however, it doesn't, it is not good situation to be in. The few times that this has happened to me, we generally use the Borrower's high speed network.

I will ONLY use borrowers computer/internet access....

I know some co.'s don't want this but this is exactly why plus it is much easier to just save it onto their computer. Not worth the hassle or price for an air card IMO.

Completely agree, SReis

Plus, borrowers feel more comfortable and secure using their own equipment, IMO.
