BCHH - Response to Dennis
Dennis - I had exactly the same problem about year ago. Their program is only written for a certain browser. I called and asked them how to get around the problem and the fellow I talked to was very rude and outright arrogant and said they had no INTENTION of fixing the problem. As far as they are concerned everyone had to change their browser and do things THEIR way. I simply said fine I won't do business with you and that was the end of that.
I always thought one of the goals of the Internet was that everyone could use whatever kind of computer and whatever browser they wanted as long as they all could handle the same standard of operation. Now here's a company that puts out a non-standard program and then tells people that they have to change what they are operating (which works fine with everyone else) in order to conform to THEM.
I see now that even a year later they still have not fixed their non-standard program. Yes, I know this is going to get flamed by all the people who are going to say that they work with BCHH all the time! But in many YEARS of being online THIS is the only time I have EVER been on a site that would NOT let me enter my phone number no matter what format I tried. So WHO is it that is non-standard???
Don't stand too close... the flames are coming...

I found out a while back that the IRS's EFTPS website is not compatible with Google Chrome. Lol, go figure!

your'e right! I use firefox and when I tried with Internet Explorer it worked. Although I was unaware that They want to charge me a fee for each closing I accept...I know you need to just add this onto the fee we charge but...

I wonder if all the notaries who accept jobs from this "wonderful" SS are paying a fee for the assignment? And if they are and adding the charge to their fee.....ahh, I'm losing it 'cause what's being accomplished here? What am I missing?

I have never paid a fee....they meet my fee of $XXX and they pay in 30 days or less(usually less) and they are not hand holders. Take all you can get.

If somebody wants to make it the least bit difficult for me
to put them in the enviable position of having the honor of giving me lots of money , then to heck with them. We should all have a "it's my way of the highway" attitude ..... NOT

Re: If somebody wants to make it the least bit difficult for me
I worked for them recently, first time I've taken work from them...if they try to charge me a fee for working for them when they called me, I wouldn't take future work from them. Is this a commonplace occurrence? I've heard of other companies trying that, but what does it accomplish?

What does it accomplish? Takes money out of your pocket,
and puts it in theirs.

This is not a flame, but if you use Firefox as a browser
there's an add-on called IE-View that allows you to specify that certain websites have to be opened in Internet Explorer. When you go to those sites, Firefox will launch IE automatically.
I realize that it's a patch and not a solution, but I do feel your pain. I use Firefox as a browser, and am a Realtor; my local MLS system currently will only work in Internet Explorer (a browser-independent version is under development). While I understand your point, taking the same position you're taking would put me out of business. Sometimes you have to give a little ground to make things work, and there's almost always a work-around. Remember the old adage about not throwing out the baby with the bath water...
