Debt Relief in home appointments

Has anyone ever done one of these appointments? I received an email from Debt Relief Center, Inc. They got my info from a signing company that I work for. Need a laptop or access to internet and they have a program to look at and execute docs, sign, make copy for client, and get paid $100 to do appointment and another $50 if they sign and send back docs.
They say in the email that it is like doing a mortgage closing. Wondering if it is something worth looking into.

google up the BBB (better business bureau)....

and type in the company name and location.

I did that today for one of them.....and found out their rating was "F"...where "A" is best.

Per the Attorney General's office...there's so much scam in this field..it's tough to tell the

good guys from the bad guys.

If there are that many bad ones....the chances that yours is a good one aren't the best.

Needless to say...I turned the one down cold that called me...after I did some investigating.

I will not touch these appointments. They just don't pass the smell test for me. They remind me so much of the loan mod application appointments we were getting last year where outrageous upfront fees were being charged, yet the borrowers rarely (if ever) ended up with an actual loan mod.

I am turning down ALL these credit restructuring/debt relief/attorney retainer appointments.

Oddly enought this companies address is across the street from my house in a legit office bldg. But I still wouldn't touch it.

I just got a call from a Debt Relief Agency also. I was in my dads hospital room and the nurse came in so I told her I would get back to her. I was able to do a Google search and found this company advertises as a company that sends Professional Debt Collector Agents to people homes when emails, letters and phone calls fail. They also claim their Agents will give reports from neighbors ect. "I don't think so."
