Anyone ever done any work for this company? I just received an email (no phone call) to do an property inspection and serve notice to the owner that his bank has been trying to contact them and in regards to a loan default. They offer different prices for payment on whether I make contact or not and the highest being $25 if I make contact and the borrower calls the bank. Couldn't find any other posts on them. Thanks

Sounds too iffy. So if they call the bank, they pay you more, if not they pay you less. Sounds like they want you to be their local "debt" collector. How would you really know if the borrower called the bank? $25 max doesn't sound worth it to me.

I agree - $25 doesn't sound worth it at all.

I do a very similar routine for Titanium Solutions, Inc (www.titaniuminc.com). If I recall correctly, the pay is $30 if no contact is make during three visit attempts, $45 if contact is made, and $65 if I make contact and get the borrower on the phone with the lender. Have had no problems, for I quickly explain why I'm there, that I can not and will not ask them for money, and that the lender really needs to speak with them in an effort to help them keep the home. Some respond favorably. Some don't. Most will at least let me make the call and hand them the phone. I've had to limit my coverage area tomy small city of 13,000 residents. Tried a county-wide area (100,000 residents), but found myself making too many drive of 20 to 40 miles round-trip, finding nobody at home. Titanium was using only Realtors for this work, but I don't know if that is still the case. Its efforts are honest and direct, just getting paid to help folks. Too often, when borrowers are behind on payments, they'll not answer the phone for a call form the lender, or from any long distance number they don't recognize, and will not open themail, all to perhaps delay the foreclosure process. The lenders are merely trying to present the HAMP or other alternatives to avoid foreclosure. My efforts might be helpful, but will not be harmful to anyone.

Re: E-notaries.net....their offer to me

never got past "$15 in the event of no contact".....they had an assignment about 25 miles from me...they called me 3 times....I declined all 3 times.

re: Titanium Solutions

I can see how it could help people, now that you described it, it doesn't sound too bad. However, I have a couple questions:
Do you make the call from YOUR cell phone to speak to the lender?
Three attempts are required?
Seems that you could be loosing money, if you have to attempt contact 3 times for a grand total of $30, worst case scenario.
That's like working for minimum wage, after you consider gas & wear/tear,etc.

IMO that sounds like risky work, acting like a collection agent. There's no way I'd take the risk for that kind of money.
