GA/Atty?
Has anyone heard anything about Toby Buttimer? Rumor has it that he's no longer with us? If so it's a shame, he offered some good advice here. I for one will miss him.

His profile's still active...last logged in 9/27/10
I hope he hasn't left - I liked his posts and his insight on matters...

Oh, dammit, dammit, dammit. Harry? Grif? Perhaps
you could handle his profile? - one less thing for his family to have to think about...
May I suggest leaving his picture for a while, and replacing his message with a short note of sympathy and condolance, with a word about about our gratefulness for his many invaluable contributions to our forum, and a word about "in lieu of flowers."
Just a thought.
Oh, damndamndammit.

Rest in peace , Toby. We all miss you.
I'd make a pitch for cautious driving, but seems he was T-boned by a drunk driver. Let's just say, live every day as though it will be your last.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Toby Buttimer Memorial Scholarship Fund at any First Chatham Bank, First Effingham Bank, or Richmond Hill Bank
Such a shock, my heart just breaks for his wife & little boy.

How sad.

Ed and I were not only colleagues at the Georgia bar, though separated by a decade or so in our service, we were also of the same philosophical and political persuasion.
What we were *not* was cut from the same cloth temperamentally. Ed was always the voice of reason; he always sought accomodation, though not compromise, with those who believed differently from him. His contributions to the JPol forum were provocative, not confrontational, and without exception contributed to the advance of dialogue between differing factions. I will sorely miss him and the PM conversations we sometimes shared.
Likewise, his offerings on the Work forum were uniformly helpful. He brought an attorney's expertise to a signing agent's concerns, and I'm certain that many agents across the country have avoided pitfalls, thanks to him.
The absence of his wisdom and his insights will leave a void for us all.

I have not been able to be on the boards that often lately and just read about what happened.
I too found his contributions to both the Work and JPol forums to be valuable additions. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I couldn't agree more.
I'm just stunned. We all could have learned so much from him and I'm deeply saddened to have his voice silenced. What a loss.
