GA/Atty...
So sad to hear about this person's death. I feel so sorry for his family. I still can not believe it, was he coming from an actual loan signing? This is the second person that I know from NOTROT that dies. The other gentleman was Dr Doc if I remember correctly, he used to live in NV and then he moved to AZ and he died there. Any ways so sad, I will pray for them. RIP GA/Atty.

How many times when I ventured out onto the road, sometimes rushing from one place to the next, if it would be my last time. NSA's spend more time on the road than many in other professions. When something like this happens it always makes you think about how fragile life really is. I am also a firefighter and EMT, so I see it on a regular basis. You truly never know.
Goodbye Toby, our colorful attorney from Savannah! You will be missed here, but certainly by your family, especially your young son. My heart goes out to them.

Just last night I was caught in a terrible storm with rain and hail. Lots of trees went down. It was very scary. I pulled over to the side of the road, called the borrowers and just waited.

I did not personally know Toby but I wanted to because of our loss. I did a search of his post all the way to his very first and just finished reading them.......He was a Good Guy!

I still wish there was something we could do collectively as
a group. Anyone have any ideas?

The scholarship fund
I think the best thing we could all do is to make some kind of donation to the scholarship fund that has been set up in his name. When doing so, we could probably add after our name "from the Notary Rotary family" or something similar. If this happens in large numbers it will speak for itself.
When a family specifies an "in lieu of flowers" charity, I always believe that's the best place to put any dollars that someone would like to spend to honor someone. Not only are you complying with the family's wishes, but you are multiplying the impact of your donation by adding it to what everyone else gives.
