Had TWO coffee table signings today!!!

Gosh I really hate coffee table signings. And if the people would actually clear off the table without being asked, gee that would be so nice! UGH!

I carry a neat collapsible (sp?) table for just such

occasions. It's about $20 bucks and sold all over. It's a little bigger and has variable heights - unlike the old 'TV Tray', which I used until I found the adjustable one. It was $2 at a garage sale, nice, made of wood.

Handy as a shirt on pocket for the full-up homes, and on occasion as an exteno-desk in mobile and motorhomes.

Hope that helps.

::motor homes:: eeek!

I've never had a motor home closing. Yowzers! That must be tight quarters!

I've done plenty of closings on the hood of a car, but at least there there's plenty of room, and it's guaranteed to be clear! Also the trunk of my station wagon makes a good substitute in the rain (lid and all!) .

Here's a car hood that might provide challenge...

Years ago, I watched this guy become an overnight "success". He was definitely noticed.

His car had more knick knacks on it than a granny's house.

Is there a brand name for this table? Would be handy to have!

NO WAY...I'm 5' 11"...bad enough my kitchen sink is too damn

low...let alone doing a closing on a coffee table, twice in one day! My back would've caved in! Shoot girl, you're a trooper! Carry on!

I refuse to do them.

I will stand at the kitchen counter or the deep freeze but no more coffee table signings for me. I have severe back problems at is just plain rude to ask me to do them enve if I dod not have back problems.

I am not beyond sitting cross-legged in the floor if it truly is the only flat surface in the house though--my back can handle that.
