I learned something new today.

I have to share, although most of you probably already know this. When printing from PDF, if you do not select 'documents and markups' from the 'comments and forms' menu, the printer wont print out the 'sign here' and red Xs that are on the docs. I spent 20 mins trying to make the silly thing print correctly.

If you had to use the "Docs and Markups" option, then I submit the person or persons who created the PDF file doesn't know what they were doing. Any document that we receive should be a 'clean' and final document. (I can hope, can't I?)

That being said, I, by default, have "Docs and Markups" selected, because I do a lot of PDF markups on documents for other reasons. (Never for loan docs I receive.)

It was on a Chase loan, the escrow waiver. They want the borrowers to initial the top where the taxes and insurance boxes are checked. They drew lines and also put one of those arrows on it. I would have never known it was there if I wasn't looking through the docs on the screen. Never saw it before today.

As opposed to learning something old?

I learned about the "documents and markups" setting when things just did not print correctly. I noted some errors, such as incorrect names and dates, on the first docs as they printed. After contacting the SS about the errors, a replacement set of PDFs was emailed to me. On screen, it looked as though all errors had been corrected. Here's the odd part. When I printed the new version, what printed was actually the first (incorrect) version, rather than what I was seeing on the screen. The SS rep explained the "documents and markups" setting. With "documents and markups" selected, what I see is what I get, as it should be.

New to me.

I found this out when I was trying to find the 12 RTC's I was omitting from print ( by direction of the TC). I would have missed it otherwise.
