I love when that happens.
I just bought a second two-tray printer, so now I have two two-tray printers ready to go. I put it together and pluged it in using the same power and UBS cables as the old printer and it worked out of the box. Actually the "new" printer is the same model printer as the old one except it has three trays, one 250 page, one 500 page and a fold down tray that holds 50 pages. The "old" printer still works so now I can print both sets of docs at the same time. I really like when I plug in something and it works right out of the box. My old one-tray printer is now in storage as a back-up. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Holloween. Erwin

I wouldn't put it to storage, in this business as a "backup" should mean that you have it hooked and installed to your pc ready when the other one jams/quits etc.
In my computer room I have 3 two trays printers connected to my primary pc, in an another desk I have a 4 year old laptop connected to another 2 tray printer and now in my vehicle I have another 2 tray printer ready to print docs in the road with another newer laptop.

When people see my office, it's pretty funny. I have so many gadgets and printers it's hilarious. Most of the time I get, "So, how many people work in here?" Just me!
I have:
2 desks (one of them a gigantic L-shape) 2 active computers (1 standard laptop, another laptop and docking station with 2 monitors) 3 cabinets 1 monochrome laser printer (dual tray) 1 multifunction monochrome laser printer 1 color laser printer 1 dymo twin turbo label printer 1 fujitsu scansnap scanner 1 industrial shredder dymo handheld label printer at least 10 3-drawer organizers with various colors and weights of paper
And that's just the stuff you can see... nor does it count my mobile office which includes another small laser printer and copier, among other stuff.
Now, I also work as a Virtual Assistant so much of this equipment is used for that work... but it is pretty funny because it does look like at least two or three people work in my office.
I wish I could downsize it all... but I actually use all this stuff on a regular basis!

Now, that is funny because I
have a similiar setup with a third PC and small TV. My desk is a wall-to-wall unit, 11 or 12 feet long. Like you I need and use everything on a daily basis. Don't think I would every be interested in hiring anyone, but occassionally my mother will deliver packages to my clients....and yes I do pay her for these services.
