Nations Direct Resign

On Tuesday night I had to make a late night run to a borrowers house where the original notary never showed up for a resign of some missed docs. The docs that had to be signed did not have to be notarized. I faxed back the docs on Wednesday morning as were my instructions. I received numerous calls/emails from Nations direct looking for my docs. Every time it was a different number that would call and a different person. I had all ready been in contact with a gal who said the docs looked good and would send me a shipping label right away (this was on Wednesday). It is now Saturday morning, still no shipping label to send docs back.

How long do I have to hold onto these docs? I have made many attempts/messages to get a shipping label to get these on their way back? I don't want to babysit the docs and keep on these people.

Curious how much they pay for only a few docs to be resigned since they only pay $60.00 for a full refi with edocs. I'm guessing $20.00. (tongue in cheek). Since they were not notarized docs, I am guessing they went with the faxed copies and forgot all about the originals. The loan should be funded by Friday if you were resigning docs from Monday or earlier.

You're in a spot without a specific answer. I wouldn't want to be held responsible for missing docs. Didn't they give you other return instructions so you can fill out your own shipping label? Hold onto them in the event they eventually figure out they are missing those docs.

Could it be that they may not need the originals since there were no notarizations? I had to email a signed HUD back to Tc the other day with instructions to shred the original!

In your case I would call TC on Mon before doing anything with these docs..

I actually got to set my price for the resign and they met it with no questions. They did not give me any return instructions except to wait for them to send me a shipping label. Thanks for all our help

One or Two Star companies typically run mickey mouse operations and the "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing".

Absolutely agree with you. It seems that every low bal one or two star company is som Mickey Mouse operation with people who have little if any idea of how to run an operation. Some years ago I decided never to take a job from any of them and have eliminated most of the aggravation you run up against in this business.
