To the best of my limited knowledge, they always pay timely...just not enough...unless they are very, very, very desperate. Sadly, that doesn't seem to happen often. They also want a lot of faxbacks, if memory serves. Tho' that may be lender-spec.

Did one a couple months ago. Fair fee. Faxed back what they wanted and they called and said they did not receive them and they wanted them again. I told her I was sorry, but just wasn't going to do it again. I was paid in 15 days.

Low pay unless they absolutely can't find anyone else. Now, they are charging a sign-up fee of $25. If you don't pay, they won't use you (this is second-hand info from the guy here in town that they use all the time)

thats for the those that want to stay in their database...which is wrong on so many levels.

So they want you to give them $25.00 so you can get $40.00 per signing from them? (+$20 for edocs).

I did not pay $25 to them and never will. I also was paid XXX and extra for fax backs. They agreed to my fee.

Re: Same situation here as Linda.

Too much hand holding for me. And way too many fax backs.

Re: Same situation here as Linda.

They were just too big a PIA and I am so glad I dumped them! Life is so much better than having to put up with all their endless crappola and incompetence. That said, however, they did pay - never a problem there. And they were always polite... but it was always reply here, reply there, when did you reply, we can't find your reply, late docs, low-ish pay, no one answers the phone ... etc. Just not worth it. However, if you have a strong stomach, go for it.

I asked for an additional fee for fax backs and got a

scathing email from Chris who said in a nut shell that my fee was a clear case of price gouhing. My fee was $175.00 (which included: emergency (next day) spanish speaking closing, BOFA refi, plus $25.00 for fax backs up to 30 pages, and a $1.00 per page for overages.

Then after I responded, I received another email indicating that I was taken out of their database, which was not too suprising and actually appreciated.

But apparently that wasn't good enough for NSC because Jeremy felt he needed to respond by sending me his moronic email which bascially said he sent out an 'alert' to their fellow signing services.... presumably to NOT hire me. ....boo hoo, I've been blackballed. Wink

You charge extra for "emergency" (next day) ? They are all

"next day" if you are lucky in my area.

I hate to say it but I agree with him

IMO next day scheduling is not "emergency" and shouldn't command an "emergency" surcharge. And that $175 didn't include any faxbacks at all?

Wow...guess your market bears a much higher fee than mine down here...

huh, sorry may have wrote it wrong in my last post but it

did include fax backs up to 30 pages....

And, though I do not speak for other Spanish speaking closers, it takes a bit longer to do these closings in Spanish, because it involves much more explaining of the particulars and standard forms than the norm....very time consuming....

Doesn't seem out of line to me, Linda

Closing = $100
Print fee = 35
Faxbacks = 15
Spanish = 25
TOTAL = $175

And that doesn't include any surcharge for an outsize packet, if you can squeeze that in, too.

I responded to this Hugh

and I agree with your numbers - that sounds reasonable to me too....Cari did clear it up a bit...but I was responding to the following:

"$175.00 (which included: emergency (next day) spanish speaking closing, BOFA refi, plus $25.00 for fax backs up to 30 pages, and a $1.00 per page for overages. "

Based on this, the fee would be $200 minimum, plus $1.00/page additional for faxback over 30 pages....*that* is was sounded unreasonable to me...
