Nationwide Notary Signers, Providence, RI

While on the road yesterday, accepted a signing from them for Monday. Checked them out here a few hours later. Based on poor reviews with NotRot, emailed them turning back assignment and telling them why.

This morning, get this reply:

"Ok, No problem. Please understand that we do not pay our Notaries if job isn’t completed or the Notary does not comply with instructions. For that reason and more, no one likes to work for nothing right? We have been in business for over 10 years and everyone goes thru a hard time sometime or another….if we paid late there was a reason, but we always pay J"

They had agreed to my fee and said they pay on the 15th of the following month. So, in this case, payment would be made in less than a month. It all sounded good at the moment.

What experiences have others had?

Look in SC under this name...also look at National Notary Signers...they're one and the same...
both rated 2 stars

Both filed in RI Corporate Division on 7/21/2003

There are a lot of reasons they are 2 stars. I can give several but if you have done your homework you already know what I had to say, and it hasn't changed.

They owe me for one about 3-4 years ago - came back saying they would get this squared away, but then had excuses. I remain unpaid, unconvinced.

Bob, the father of the owner Janine (or something like that - I'm working off the top of my head right now) kind of justified lower fees since that "is the wave of the future" and also noted that everyone is reducing fees, get used to it. About the same time as that horrid Johnathan Davidson (??) was spouting off as well.

Gotta run or be late for appt - LindaH remembers all this too I'll bet.

I took the assignment without checking as I was in my car, glad I have no regrets. Had I been able to check SS in time I probably would have turned it back based on rating. Because I had a positive experience, I personally would work for them again, they did meet my fee.

James: I worked with them before and got paid with no problem. However, I also used to work for Eleventh Hour Signings, who were the nicest people, always agreed to my fee, always paid timely -- until they went out of business and left me hanging with 2-3 unpaid invoices.

Don't want to go through that again. Too many poor reviews in SC to take that risk. JMHO Smile

I hear you, I've only had one SS not pay me and that was bad enough to alter my views FOREVER!
