I don't know if it is a good deal or not, but thought I'd share. I get mine for $20 a case, legal or letter through a thrift store that gets donations of damaged boxes of paper from a manufacturer (damage is usually limited to a scrape on the box, busted sealing belt, or a forklift puncture). They call me whenever paper is donated and I have a couple hours to get there and buy everything they have, or they'll offer it to the next guy. I've never had to throw out more than a ream in a box, and often the "bad" ream is still good enough for the kids' school uses (we home-school through an internet school).
