Provident Funding Assoc.
Has anyone besides me experienced the Gestapo signing instructions from Provident Funding Assoc? Why the paranoia?

I have, and generally decline to do these. I have had bad experiences with borrowers who are nervous, and scared that they will make mistakes, so naturally, they do, over and over again. However, a fewdays ago, I just did one thru a title rather than signing service, and there were no horrible instructions. Luckily there were no mistakes! But, I am still awaiting a call that something was done wrong...

Ditto! Did one last night (10:30 pm) loan officer there and he was nervous. Sign above the line, do not let signature bleed below line, notary stamp must be longitudinally correct, etc.
I told the borrowers, if it's anything wrong with the Docs, it's my fault and don't worry 'cause I ain't coming back out to fix it...now they're nervous...ROFLMAO

I've completed quite a number of these and
as of this message have never had an issue.

Yes, they are very picky and I watch like a hawk when people sign. I occasionally have someone who gets so nervous that they do keep messing up. I've even had to pull up my email at someone's house so we can print a fresh doc, because they screwed up a second time when we switched it with their copy.
I just tell people that they have to date the same way consistently throughout the package, and that their sixes should like like sixes, their zeros should look like zeros, etc.
Thankfully, these packages are not too large. I love the TC I do these for, and they pay well which is commensurate with the PITA factor that comes with signing a Provident loan!

I don't have a problem with these, since I carry my laptop and printer in my car, so I can always switch from the borrower's copy and then I have the file in my laptop for the "extra" error that me or the borrowers could make. Only one time this has happened and the borrowers were impressed that I carry a complete mobile office. If escrow wants faxbacks I can do it just after signing the loan, of course these are not free.

I agree Jose, they are no problem once you are familiar with their requirements. I pre-write all my notary certificates before the appointment so if I make a mistake, it's at home before the appointment and I can print another copy very easily. All I do at the appointment is sign and stamp. If I have a stamp mis-fire, then we resign with the borrower's copy.

Amen to
"they pay well which is commensurate with the PITA factor".
