Question on Deed of Trust

Is Maryland the only state that has a second acknowledgement that states the Deed of Trust is Bonafied? I completed a closing for a large title company they are asking me to complete the ack. that the title company is supposed to complete. I sent them the Maryland law but I don't think I'm getting anywhere. Frustrating, it's very rare I have this problem but geez all they have to do is read the law I sent. I'm hoping they haven't pushed another closing agent into signing a blank acknowledgement. An official of the title companies name goes in it not the borrower.

Ilene, You are right. I get so frustrated when the title companies don't understand the law. I just won't do it..... when the ask me to sign a blank acknowledgement.

In that second acknowledgement part are the words" Personally appeared ..... agent for the party secured by the forgoing deed of trust "

Tell them that when the agent appeares before you, you will check ID, swear them in, have them sign and notarize his/her signature. PERIOD>>>>>>
