Looks like I'm out of luck....they got me for one.

Thank heaven I looked at Signing Central and turned down others.

Too bad I didn't look sooner. This outfit wasn't too bad a couple of years ago...

but looking at SC it appears they have gone to he## in a handbasket.

I spoke w/ Becky @ RELS Title who told me Signing Pro has been pd for their services thru the end of September and feel they are not responsible for my fees. They were told SP is closing their doors and returned orders they could not fill. I have been researching independent/subcontractor laws in Ohio and am wondering if the Closing Protection coverage required by Ohio would cover this. Anybody tried this route? I am owed for 11 closings and have too much invested not to pursue this.

Interesting concept...a quick google got this:

"The Closing Protection Coverage indemnifies you against the loss of settlement funds resulting from any of the following acts of the Licensed Agent or anyone acting on behalf of the Licensed Agent, subject to certain conditions and exclusions specified in the Closing Protection Coverage Form"

Since the SS was acting on behalf of the licensed agent...hmmm....guess you'd have to find out what those certain "conditions and exclusions" are...
