Speedy
Working with this company for several years. Paid when I billed, and on time per contract. No issues. No problems, I think there are a heck of alot more Notaries that work for Speedy than don't. This is just my experience with Speedy. I also have to say, this is the best Notary board and with all of the experienced input everyone offers, we can make our own decisions.

Must think that we're to stupid to figure out what's going on with these posts.

Looks like Glenn Strickler is correct in his assessment
that requests are being made by Speedy to post positive info on the forum.
Linda wasn't the thread below good enough for you to add your comments to? Was it really necessary to start another thread touting the same company?

Enough already! The board is swamped with posts about opinions that they are ok. We each choose who we work for. IMO Frank has had years to get his payment issues resolved & didn't. Notaries don't have time for slow-pay or no-pay companies. When was the last time your electric company waited 75 days for you to pay them?

Eletric co will wait once service cut off....credit trashed
in the meantime though.
Hum - best to pay on time I guess.

Yes, to each our own.....we can make our *own* decision as to whether we will work with 1 star or 2 star companies. Crooks stay in business when people "sell out". Deadbeat companies stay in business when Notaries sell out.
Roaches ain't on the menu, but you'll continue to patronize the restaurant even though you KNOW the chef puts roaches in everyone else's food, just not yours....right?

I've worked in a lot of restaurants and not heard of
roaches in food deliberately, but have heard of kitchen personnel peeing in tea, and other awful things. Must be careful about complaining.. revenge is not always sweet tasting.

Yes Linda, I have to agree with you and it appears to me there is a block of people the same people making post after post attacking any person who has anything good to say about anyone. They all seem to be connected in one way or another. Just my opinion. However not one of them ever said they did not get paid.

Late fees have nothing to do with the contract ...
I charge and have collected late fees when the payment is more than 60 days in coming. Try being 60 days late on your electric bill ..... It's standard practice.
In Speedy's case, I just didn't bother as I figured I got out if it with the main payment when others (check the other forums) have been waiting for more than a year without payment.
But I get it. Frank gave you a call and said "Say something nice about me and I will give you exclusive business in your area." Right? I get it. The other forums have had a rash of "pro Speedy" postings as well, so something is going on ......
Sorry if your feelings were hurt, but I would think that working for the public, you would have grown thicker skin. You are not going to change anyone's opinion. It is what it is .....

Re: Late fees have nothing to do with the contract ...
Actually Glenn,
No body called me and I don't work that way and I don't have an exclusive anywhere. LOL
I just foolishly made a post and got the rants of wild people who because I said something different than they believed dove on me like a pack of wolves. LOL
I have very thick skin and I was just amazed at the lack of such of everyone who pounced on me because I made a post that apparently rubbed some people the wrong way.
So therefore lets just call it a lesson learned about a lot of the people on this site.

Well one person said they did not get paid late fees. And as the attorney in the group has not pointed out the terms of signing are included in every acknowledgement sent to a notary So if you read your acknowledgement it clearly states as an example if you close on the 15th of one month you are looking at an approximate payment around the 30th of the following month.

Reply by KENNETH VARRATO SR on 10/10/10 2:14pm Msg #356150
Therefore if you read you know up front you will not be paid in 30 days. Therefore you should read your contract before you take the job or just not complain about the fact you don't read.

I do not take it lightly that some of you would like to attack my character because my view is different that yours. That tells me a lot about your character. None of you know anything about me however just because I have not had a bad experience I am a paid endorsement. That again to me shows the narrow minded mindset of you. So if you want to sue some one to get revenge do so, if you want to call someone a scumbag then do so, if you want to be professional and just say you had a bad experience and would not do business again then do so. Just please be professional and not attack the character of other Notaries or businesses because you don't agree with them. Remember what goes around comes around and when you are standing alone or have some one attacking you with really know you just look in the mirror and know that you caused your own dilemma. Again I ask this question have any of you complaining about late payments ever not been paid? If so then sue in a court of law that is why we have that system. I really don't believe these forums should be about bashing any person, notary, business or anything. Put your post good or bad but do it with the professionalism that as Notaries we should be doing. I know this will fall on def ears of some however I hope some of you will look in the mirror and think about it. I am far from perfect and never claim to be that is all I am saying are you perfect?

Whoa!!....calm down there, Ken!!
The general consensus here on NR is that Speedy is not speedy We all know that if it takes up to 75 days for an SS to pay, they obviously don't have much operating capital. The majority of clients pay within 45 days, some 15-30.
I find it curious that there are 3 posts in a row praising this SS. It doesn't take a genius to figure out they have a hand in this. I find THAT not very professional and I also think you are their dupe.
Relax, dude, your love affair with Speedy is just not that important to us.

You cannot seem to grasp the concept, Kenneth, that a 2 (TWO) star rated company and positive reviews are diametrically opposed (on opposite sides) of each other. Two stars does NOT equal a good company. You and the few others who are singing Speedy's praises are SHILLS in the eyes of those Notaries who work with 5 (FIVE) star companies that honor their agreements and pay ALL of their ICs. Companies aren't rated 5 stars because they stiff Notaries. They are rated 5 Stars because they honor their agreements by paying Notaries.
You make a deliberate choice to help a company stay in business that steals from your colleagues. Their 2 (TWO) star rating demonstrates this. How is supporting a crook ethical, moral or of good character?

OK have to speak up here. I have NEVER posted anything negative about signing companies but here goes -
I foolishly accepted an assignment from Frank - when I balked he assured me he was not in the business of "ripping people off" so I did the signing. Need I say it - I haven't been paid. I shot an email over last week and was told "we are sending a check out tonight" hmmm... haven't gotten that check.
Kudos to you who have been paid by Speedy. I am a patient soul who will give some companies up to 45 days to pay. But I will never work for them again! I will never take another assignment from Frank!
