I received a call to record a deed for $50. and turned it down. They told me they are getting a loan and then they will catch up on payments and get back to paying in thirty days again. I guess they just hope that we are not all aware of what is going on. That is why Notary Rotary is so valuable.

I got a check for the amount they said. They called for an assignment, I didn't take the call, they left a message for me to do a closing about 50 Miles away, not sure I want to trust them again after I got my fees cut down after the fact last time, maybe a local closing, but not ready to do anything far away yet. I give them credit for not just bailing out, but for me, full trust is not there yet.

Why in the world would they tell you this?! If a biz is in
trouble, the last thing they should be doing, and call me crazy, is letting their subcontractors know that its in financial trouble??
This type of info should NOT be made "common knowledge" and if that was one of my employees, I'd fire them on the spot if I found out they were spreading our company biz around!!!
Its no wonder why they're in a financial pickle! Bad business practices = No business, IMO of course.

Well obviously they have a loyal following. Did you look at the number of 1 star comments? Maybe the employee aren't being paid either?

Accepted assignment from Notary Biz to do signing on 9/10. After investigating them on Notrot, I called Notary Biz and requested prepayment to do signing. I received full payment from them through Pay Pal before returning completed Loan Package. No problem. I would work for them again using the same criteria.

That is all well and good for you and a very good idea on your part. Just thinking, though, that they should be paying the past due first and in full with that money (not the 60% they are offering)?????? JMHO

Yes, I did!! I think the world of Liz for doing what she has done. They still owe me for a closing I performed on 8/3/2010 but I have no doubt I will get paid.

I accepted the offer of 60% much to my dismay. The closings that I had open were not one of the ones that caused thier problems so I wasn't real happy about taking 60% of pay but something is better than nothing I suppose. More than anything I find resentment in the fact that if you said anything about them here you would not be paid at all. So forwarning of any new closings and payment issues was not an option if you wanted to get paid at all and that is what this site is all about. That, to me, was taking away our right to congregate. Personally, I won't work for a company that can't figure out how to run a business through good times and bad times. I have to figure it out so I think they should too.
