Trouble Opening Docs from Servers

I am getting documents emailed to me and when they are on a server and I have to download them they only download 99% and then they stop. Does anyone know why? It happens coming from every server. I can open up documents as long as they don't have to be downloaded from a server. I have reset all my internet options defaults back to the original settings to see if that would help and it didn't, any suggestions. Thanks.

A few ideas--

Did you check the firewall settings?
Can you bypass the server and connect direct to the Web?
Have you recently updated Acrobat? A few times I've had similar troubles with downloads "sticking" and it was a result of an incomplete update installation.
Last thing, make sure you're clicking, not double-clicking the download option. Sometimes I accidentally double-click and it will tell me "two hours to download" or something like that, and I realize I've requested it more than once, so I cancel the download and try again.

Kind of basic triage there, but those have all done the trick for me.
