tethering blackberry storm
has anyone used there blackberry as a modem to connect to there laptop. that has verizon wireless as their carrier.
I am looking to tether from tether.com and they say it cost a one time fee of $50 and I was wondering if anyone is doing this with verizon wireless as their carrier.

Terry, I have this for the Droid and it's great.

The Blackberry is at that link. You can get the free version to try it out.
It was very easy to do on both of my Droids. You can tether an unlimited amount of computers for that price, but you pay for each phone. When I changed, I had to repurchase the tethering software.

Re: Terry, I have this for the Droid and it's great.
cause i was reading that if you have verizon wireless you have to go through vzmanager and they talked about $15 a month which I am paying $30 a month unlimited. So my question is do I have to go through the vzmanager or can I get the tetherberry and will it work on the verizon network.

Not good if you plan on tethering.

I will live through it either way. But, what this will do is allow me to look seriously at AT&T next time. Right now, TMobile is so much cheaper.
I only tether at home when my cable is out for some reason. And, I don't stream movies.
This will be interesting!
