Amtrust Eclosings
Does anyone have a link or website on how to register with this company? I've called them several times and have been left on hold. All I get is a recording
Thanks in advance for any help

and you STILL want to sign up with them? What if there are
payment issues in the future? I'd imagine you'd get the same service....just a thought...

I do many AmTrust Eclosings for almost 2 years now but I never signed up through them. I first got connected when a company called me to do one of these and they set me up with AmTrust. I do have my own account now and most signings are assigned to you via third party closing. Once you have a title company or signing service that gives you one to do, you will get an account with them. AmTrust does not job these out themselves and provide the business to you, it will come from various signing services, title and escrow companies that call you for a signing.

Re: Amtrust Eclosings ... are they worth it ?...
Have you found these (EClosings) to be profitable for you, in terms of volume, length of individual signings, cost of air card, ect. ( I have read some on NotRot about how it costs the notary too much just to get the equipment for EClosing, let alone all the other factors, & don't recall hearing much if anything from those notaries that are doing these successfully and/or for some time. )

Re: Amtrust Eclosings ... are they worth it ?...
I have completed 120 AmTrust and 15 Flagstar E-signings. I adjusted my cell plan when I got the AirCard from Sprint and although the card would normally cost 50-60 a month....I only pay 10.00 extra with my whole plan. I was able to purchase a laptop from a friend for only 250.00 and it works great. This was my upfront cost. I get anywhere from 100-125 for the e-signings, so.... 135 x 100-125 = 13,500-16,875, less start up costs and monthly 250 + 2 years @ 10.00 (240.00)= 490.00. Profit so far... looks really good @ 13,010 - 16,385 over 2 years! I prefer the AmTrust, more user friendly. I do not like the Flagstar but they are becoming more and more needed. Some months, I will do many and other months I do only a few. Very unpredictable but sometimes I am just not taking them because I already have an E-doc signing scheduled so hard to know how many I could have been doing in a month. Hope this helps, feel free to contact me if you have additional questions. I was lucky in the beginning and a title company really needed me to do one and they were willing to walk me through it and work with me, also paid me 175.00 for it! So, sometimes you can even get more for them as there are not enough notaries who do these and can or want to afford the aircards and laptop or grow with technology.

Re: Amtrust Eclosings ... are they worth it ?...
I can't believe you do these for $100 - $125. I wouldn't do them for less than $150 just because of the added expense. That you were able to get a cheap laptop and a $10 aircard is beside the point. I won't do them for less than $150 just because of the technology required.

You only sign up directly with Amtrust if you are a tc.
Otherwise, e-signing assignments come from tc's or ss'. Maybe someone here can give you the names of the major players. Also, be sure to include in your profile that you are equipped for e-signings. As has been stated here, it has been very profitable for some. I never saw enough volume to justify the expense. I think it's a hot commodity on the west coast more than the east coast.

Been doing these since the beginning without a laptop/aircard. The companies that hire me do not pay extra to notaries who have the equipment. They say it will pay for itself in volume but I get plenty of calls without it. Most borrowers here have a high-speed internet connection and IE so they use their own computer. The borrowers do it all; I never touch their computer. They usually are completed faster than paper signings although some docs still need to be ink-signed.

I just got a call today to do a Flagstar e-signing 40 mins away. Flagstar's are just a pain and I believe worth much more than a regular paper signing. Unfortunately, the SS and I could not agree on a fee and I can't see doing these at less than $175. I went to the same town last week for a structured settlement which was overnighted to me and only required 3 notarizations. It took about 15 mins in all and my fee was $175. Yep, I could do these all day long.
