Call from SOX

Just received call from someone saying they were SOX...Offered whopping $50.00. When I checked the number out it was I D'd as National Creditors Connection, Inc........Ooh yea, I have to get approval for that fee so I'll have to call them back. LOL

They seem to be slithering around. Got 2 calls this morning from Nations Direct. Luckily, I have them set up to "no ring" so don't have to bother with talking to them -- but, they still leave v/m message which I'm free to disregard.

NCCI isn't SOX (at least, they weren't as of this morning).
NCCI does inspections and delinquency chases and suchlike. Pay isn't very good, but, if you keep it close & negotiate--might be OK.

NCCI is a totally different animal then SOX. When NCCI calls, I will find out where the inspection is and usually take it unless it is too far to make anything. They also negotiate without the "I have to get that approved" line: they can approve right then and there. NCCI also pays in a timely manner.

I received a call from SOX today and thought, "They're still in business?" They are the worst of the worst. I finally got paid after I complained to the BBB (where they have an F rating), and the BBB wrote a letter on my behalf. I firmly - but politely (because I'm always polite) - tell them I can't do the signing. I don't care what they pay - whatever it is, I won't ever see it!

Sox rarely calls me but if they do, I tell them WHY I won't accept. A company called N3 has called me twice this month and both times I said to them "I won't accept a signing from you because your rating on NotaryRotary is so bad." They don't even dispute it, they just say "Ok, thanks."

Clean up your act, signing services! Notaries talk.
