Not necessarily. There is at least one SS that pays via PP as soon as the assignment has been completed. They also give you the option of receiving payment by check, which is sent out in the next day's mail. To my knowledge, they are not a problem company but just want to make sure the notary is paid.

Here's one for the record books. I a closing a few weeks ago and received a check for 2 closings. On the check is written: "1 Already Done, 1 to be Done @ a Later Time."
