E-Mobile Notary, Bellevue, WA

called me Friday for 2 edocs signings - 1 for Friday, which I was unable to accommodate and the other for yesterday, Sunday, which I accepted. I quoted scheduler $125 and she readily accepted and sent confirmation. Docs received, printed. (note: didn't know 'til I received confirmation that Title would be sending courier for docs pickup - nothing mentioned during phone call) Docs signed and are to be picked up by Title this morning. As per my practice, invoice emailed upon completion (Sunday afternoon).

I receive inquiry from E-Mobile this morning saying their edox fee is $100 and why the increase. I respond letting them know my edoc fee is $125 and that their scheduler had agreed to fee and sent confirmation to verify. Then, they send sent me the following email:

"No problem, but I will zero you from our system, the price structure you charge is in excess of the market rates, therefore we will never use you again."

This is only the 2nd time I work with them. In 2009, I charged them and was paid $175 for edocs with faxbacks. No question or problem then.

Guess I won't be hearing from them again. Darn it all!!

Something similar happened to me. Their policy is to pay their notaries after they get paid. I did not agree to that and they removed me.
They should run out of notaries soon if they keep removing them from their list

Also there's no way to contact them after the close. Their address is a UPS mail box center and they will totally ignore you.....took them 51 days to pay me and I removed THEM from MY list.

As Pat mentioned, they will be running out of notaries soon (hopefully) They've already excluded me.

As far as excess of market rates,...where did they get THAT from? Bellevue, by the way isn't exactly a slum area and they probably pay their gardeners that much an hour.

Spoken like a signing service that doesn't understand the concept of "market rates" for this kind of service.

I did one job for them back in 2003. I was brand new; it was probably about my 10th signing. They agreed to $65 for the signing and sent a confirmation. When they paid me, they sent $60. When I contacted them about it, they said they never pay more than $60 and there was nothing I could do about it. I encountered lots of creepy signing services that first year....which is why I SAY NO TO SIGNING SERVICES. Their treatment of notaries really ticks me off.

The money they offer is below what I would consider a professional fee. I would have no issue with "ZEROING" them out as a company I would ever consider working for. If not for the fees they offer their attitude alone.

$125 is well within the range of fees we charge in WA so they are simply a low baller.
