Finish Line called me unprofessional for turning back
a signing. They called when I was on the road. Checked them out on NotRot when I got home. Immediately replied that I could not accept the signing due to nonpayment to notaries. They are going to post elsewhere how unprofessional I am turning a signing back especially at EOM and all their notaries have always been paid.

Finish Line can cry me a river.
You just caught them with their payment record exposed.
To them I say........STICKS AND STONES------------
They can do whatever they want....but the truth is a mighty vindicator.
I've turned a couple back in similar circumstances.....and neither SS was happy....calling me
names and threatening.
Let them call and let them threaten.
There's no excuse for paying late. And that baloney that their notaries have all been paid...
is probably true.....
after hounding....e-mailing....phonecalling.....and whatever else to get paid...and then
it's 90 days plus.
Nope, I don't feel sorry for them or my two that I turned back --one bit.

I find it funny that some of these companies threaten us with this supah-secret place for signing companies to post about naughty notaries.
If it really existed, you think we wouldn't know about it?

Make sure you post in S/C specially the threat.

If they said where they were going to "post" I would post a link to their SC profile as proof of their rating in SC and let what they post show who is actually the unprofessional one. JMO
The way I feel about it is either pay your subcontractors as agreed and on time or get out of the middle man business.

Re: Finish Line - my experience isn't vast with them, but I
got paid 05/31/10 for signing on 05/04/10.
No problems.

Is your experiance with them on SC it might be helpful ? I had on turn back (again from on the road) and posted some of the SC comments. They said "Well you could have just said no--no need to get nasty" I thought I had just said no.

I've worked with them a few times I believe a few
years ago, and I truly do not recall fighting to get paid.
Payment received 30 days out, which sux, but I got paid with no problems.

My experience with Finish Line:
Worked for them once in 2006 = 22 days payment.
Worked for them once in 2009 = 48 days payment WITH A REMINDER.

They got lots of nerve calling you unprofessional when info on the web is that they have a bad payment history! I've done what you did before, and don't care if these non paying companies like it or not. Guess what! I don't like doing a job for a company and not being paid! I did a tiny inspection for a co on August 10. The fee was $35. I have yet to be paid. Now, why in the h$#ll does it take THAT LONG to pay someone $35??? I called them yesterday, and got the "check's in the mail" story. Never again!
