Laserjet 3055

Any of you folks use a HP Lasjet 3055? I am having a hell of a time trying to reload the software. PC not seeing equiptment, same problem when loading software from cd or web site.

I use the 3050. If you go to hp.com, you can download drivers & firmware. Are you running W7? I've heard it won't recognize some of the older printers. You might try p/m PAW. He's the tech resident genius.

I am running XP, no luck when dowloading from hp.com either.

Did you get this fixed? What happened? Did the printer and/or printer driver just disappear? Did you load anything new? Did the printer disappear under devices and printers? If this is USB connection is should be plug and play. If it happened after a software upgrade or something you might try restoring system to time before the problem started. Hopefully you are up and running and this is moot.
