Those are the times I wish I was set up for mobile printing.

It is frustrating!

We have all been through this so many times but I personally have learned not to stress. If I don't get my docs when I need them I don't waste my time. I call the borrowers, let them know what is going on and make arrangements to see them at a later time (depending on doc delivery) and go on my merry way. It is not worth stressing over.

I had two signings on Friday which were 1.7 miles apart. Had we gotten the docs for the second one on time it would have been so nice to just go from one to the other but, of course, the second set was late. So we did go to the first one, came home and printed docs for 2nd one and drove right back to where we started for the 2nd signing. After a 3 year roller coaster ride I was just grateful that we had 2 signings in one morning.

This is a great example of the need for Master Scheduling:

Communication is the key.

In the confirmation call, mentioning the current status of edoc delivery, and the possibility of late docs - then keeping the Borrowers/Title/LO/SS in the loop as circumstances unfold - has saved many a deal.

Being able to accomodate the sometimes-fluid dynamics of remote closings is Master Scheduling.

MHO.

When they have two witnesses waiting it adds to the stress.

We have to have two witnesses in addition to the signers and the notary. Add to that the TERRIBLE traffic that has not eased completely since Katrina, and you have some angry borrowers. If you have four people waiting for you to arrive, and it takes an hour to get to them, it is to no avail to let people know the situation... Just adding to the vent. It is frustrating!

When they have an attorney waiting it adds to the stress ...

and often impacts the cost to the signer.

Re: When they have an attorney waiting it adds to the stress ...

Thank goodness no atty waiting. No witnesses required either. Got the docs at appt time which has NEVER happened with this TC before--had never heard of this lender before either and the hold up on was their end.

Read Msg #353273 to get the big laugh out of this one.

I turned the volume up on my puter so I could hear the ding when the email came in and went about my crocheting.

Did call the BO about an hour before appt time and filled them in, okay with that and I met a wonderful couple--it was worth the wait.
