Are you referring to R and R Signature Services - AZ? If so, the comments on SC do not look good for you. I'd call the title co and find out if the loan funded and when and if they paid the SS. Let them know you have not been paid. Lots of recents comments here regarding pursuing payment form deadbeat companies. Good Luck

Call the TC and get the information. Let them know that you have not been paid. I'd follow that up with a registered letter. Also, get a hold of the lender and let them know that they are working with TC's & SS's that are not paying vendors down the line. Follow up with a registered letter. I would also direct the letter to the President of the lender. They don't like to hear such things. Also mention the amount of the closing costs on the HUD and what your bill for the work you have done.

We cannot sit back and let deadbeat's get away with this stuff all the time. I took a stand with 3 SS's and got my money for past due invoices by FedEx within 2 days from the TC's in each instance. Who cares if you don't get business from those SS's, they are no good to begin with. JMHO

The R&R Group and R&R Signature Services are two different companies.

Email me for a collection letter to fax to them. Yes, I've done several and had to fight tooth and nail for payment each time. Rob must be deluded since he thinks I will still take his jobs...he continues to call. I won't even pick up the phone...nor do I return his calls.

Best collection technique: Check out every company that hires you before you do the job. Decline jobs from any company with a poor payment rep. The search and Signing Central features on this website will usually tell you what you need to know. Do this ASAP after receiving the confirmation and turn the job back if necessary. Do this in a timely manner so as not to affect the borrower.

The R&R Group has a long history of poor payment. They are listed in Signing Central as "THE R&R Group". I linked the original post to their listing in Signing Central.

Got payment today for a signing I did on 9/16/09 (not the company referenced in this post). Persistence finally paid off. But we shouldn't have to chase down anyone for payment which was owed to begin with.

I had a company who had the nerve to tell me I was unprofessional because I threaten litigation if they did not send me my money. I mailed a letter and copied everyone who I had dealings with doing the transaction and plan to send letter to the borrower if necessary. Nine times out of ten the borrower paid the fee anyways. Shouldn't they know if TC took their $ and the nice and professional notary that came to their homes to do their closings did not get paid. This company told me she was removing me from doing business with them. I told her she didn't have to as I already removed myself!

That is a valid point, one that I think warrants discussion. They may not have hired us, but they sure did hire the lender, who hired the TC, who hired the SA and who possibly hired the SS. I know if my money were paid out, I would want a true accounting, and if someone didn't get paid, I would want my money back from that portion.

Do you mean the R&R Group in Indianapolis, IN? If so, good luck with getting paid. The one and only signing I did for them took me 130 days to get paid, after many unreturned phone calls and ignored emails. They finally paid after I called the title company. Never again.
